About The Position

The Logistics Associate II operates forklifts to receive, locate, and move products throughout the warehouse, fill customer orders accurately, and transport orders to the truck-line shipping area. The role also performs quality-control checks to confirm orders are complete and accurate, while working safely, productively, and in accordance with company standards. This position is fully onsite at Insight’s Hanover Park, Illinois office and works from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include unloading and staging daily shipments, counting and documenting inbound deliveries, maintaining forklifts, picking and packing customer orders, weighing and inspecting orders, loading trucks, and assembling merchandise for shipment. The position offers potential for vertical or horizontal advancement within the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of warehouse experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with Crown stand-up and cherry picker equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Knowledge of receiving, warehouse, and safety procedures.
• Some computer experience.
• Ability to communicate in and understand English to the extent necessary to perform essential job functions.

• Unload daily shipments and stage them properly on the receiving floor.
• Count and document inbound deliveries accurately.
• Perform proper maintenance on all forklifts.
• Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of products are picked, packed, and shipped.
• Weigh and inspect orders, load trucks, and assemble merchandise for shipment.
• Work safely, productively, and in accordance with company standards.
