Logistics Assistant
About The Position
The Prince William County Fire and Rescue System (FRS) is seeking a motivated, proactive Logistics Assistant to provide support to the dynamic staff providing excellent service to the citizens of Prince William County. FRS is the second largest combination system in Virginia, comprised of the Department of Fire and Rescue and eight volunteer fire and rescue departments, working together to provide high quality and efficient firefighting and emergency medical services. The FRS Logistics department supports field operations with sustainment support countywide. This role is for motivated team players with warehousing and logistics experience. Logistics Assistants track and monitor inventory of supplies and parts, control inventory supply levels, work with vendors to order needed materials, and process inventory payments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Background checks, which may include but are not limited to: Criminal History Check, Credit History Check, Education Verification Check, License Verification Check, and/or fingerprinting may be required as posted in the job advertisement.
- Effective October 2012, mandated by the Virginia State Board of Health 12VAC5-31-540, VA EMS Regulations require a criminal background check conducted by the Central Crime Records Exchange and the National Crime Information Center via Virginia State Police; and a driving record transcript from the individual’s state Department of Motor Vehicles.

- Experience processing inventory payments and working with vendors
- Fire and Rescue Experience is desirable
- Experience with time management and a self-starter
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
