About The Position

The Logistics assistant will be responsible for auditing freight bills and inputting them into the system, cycle inventory, reconciling inventory, handling freight quotes and claims, processing UPS shipments, completing end-of-day procedures, scheduling returns, and routing/scheduling trucks for shipments. The role operates in a general office and warehouse environment with potential exposure to background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations, and proximity to moving mechanical parts. Requirements

  • 3 years shipping experience
  • Forklift Experience
  • Previous experience with international shipping requirements and knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills to read, write, understand and discuss (in English)
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills required
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Be able to use monarch to extract information
