About The Position

The Logistics Assistant Retail Manager supports the Director of Retail by overseeing inventory control, receiving, replenishment, retail systems, and merchandise flow across all HarborWalk Village retail locations. This position ensures accurate inventory management, efficient product movement, operational excellence, and supports daily retail operations while providing leadership to the logistics and inventory team. Fills in as needed in the absence of the Director of Retail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of retail inventory, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift merchandise and work in warehouse and retail environments.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license that has been in effect for at least three years with no major violations and no more than two minor violations within the past three years.
  • Employee leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Computer proficiency including Retail Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Customer service focus with an understanding of how inventory availability supports the guest experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, inventory documentation, and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages, work with decimals, and perform retail calculations.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, analyze inventory discrepancies, solve operational problems, prioritize competing responsibilities, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting retail operations.
  • Ensure merchandise availability to meet guest expectations.
  • Assist guests with product inquiries when needed.
  • Support store sales through accurate inventory and timely replenishment.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Lead all inventory receiving and merchandise processing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all retail locations.
  • Coordinate merchandise transfers between locations.
  • Oversee stockroom organization and warehouse standards.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assists with annual physical inventories.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
  • Ensure efficient merchandise flows from receiving to sales floor.
  • Maintain Retail Pro product information and SKU setup.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and inventory tracking.
  • Monitor replenishment levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
  • Support POS operations and troubleshoot basic retail system issues.
  • Coordinate inventory adjustments and stock corrections.
  • Recommend reorder quantities based on inventory trends.
  • Prepare inventory reports and operational performance reports.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and key inventory metrics.
  • Track receiving performance and replenishment activities.
  • Maintain organized inventory documentation.
  • Communicate inventory needs and operational updates to the Director of Retail.
  • Train and mentor inventory and logistics associates.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed consistently.
  • Foster teamwork and accountability.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
