The role includes managing driver safety and company assets, monitoring route progress and performance, planning loads and swing routes, responding to missed pickups, and coordinating disposal plans with the Operations Manager. The position also focuses on customer experience by prioritizing service commitments, keeping call-center communications current, communicating delays to affected customers, and reviewing routing information and service exceptions. Routes should be designed to support safe, successful, and efficient work while meeting customer commitments and applicable hours-of-service and weight requirements.
