About The Position

Join a dynamic third-party logistics company located at Willow Run Airport, specializing in facilitating the movement of freight for manufacturing clients. As a logistics agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vital parts reach their destinations efficiently and effectively, working as the intermediary between customers and carriers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in logistics or service delivery.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to type 30+ words per minute.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sales or negotiations, particularly in a call center or high-volume contact center environment.
• Interest in logistics and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective method for shipping freight.
• Coordinate logistics by determining necessary resources, such as trucks and pallets, for freight shipment.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery to their destinations.
• Employ problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges and devise innovative solutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service over the phone, maintaining clear and effective communication.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in logistics operations.
