About The Position

This position is for a Locum Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice (AP) Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology. The role is based in an outpatient clinic setting with potential to float to a San Jose clinic. The coverage is needed as soon as possible, pending credentialing, and is expected to last through the end of the year, with potential for extension. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no on-call requirements. Clinical duties focus on gynecological procedures like Pap smears and cervical cancer screenings, as well as well-woman visits and prenatal care. The clinic uses EPIC for EMR, and the anticipated patient load is around 21-22 patients per shift. The credentialing process typically takes about 60 days.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid California medical license
• Obstetric experience
• Experience with gynecological procedures (e.g., Pap smears, cervical cancer screenings)
• Experience with well-woman visits
• Experience with prenatal care
