About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver advanced cardiac care in a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment. As a Locum Interventional Cardiologist, you will provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, and other catheter-based procedures. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of nurses, technologists, and fellow physicians to ensure the highest standards of cardiovascular care for patients in the Sebring community.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice
  • Associate-level experience in interventional cardiology procedures
  • Proficiency in cardiac catheterization and coronary intervention techniques
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Willingness to work on-site in Sebring
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Must be board-certified

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Conduct coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for cardiac patients
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Provide consultation services to referring physicians and other departments
  • Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment options
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcome initiatives
  • Maintain current medical knowledge through continuing education and training
