About The Position

This is a contract, on-site position ideal for an Associate-level physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care in a collaborative clinical environment. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients within a medical practice setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans that improve patient outcomes and support long-term mental wellness.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Associate-level experience in a clinical psychiatric setting
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
  • Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
  • Ability to work on-site in Naperville
  • Willingness to work under a contract arrangement
  • Must be board-certified

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for a range of mental health conditions
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment as clinically appropriate
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, nurses, and social workers
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists and community resources as needed
  • Participate in clinical case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to all applicable medical, ethical, and legal standards of practice
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and external treatment teams
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and best practices
