About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality urological care in a collaborative clinical environment within the medical practice industry. As a Locum Urology Physician, you will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with urological conditions, working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly contribute to improved patient outcomes, continuity of care, and the overall success of the practice during your assignment.

Requirements

  • MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Urology
  • Valid medical license in good standing, with ability to practice in Columbus
  • Associate-level experience in urology clinical practice
  • Strong clinical diagnostic and procedural skills in urological care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical practice environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice
  • Current DEA registration and compliance with credentialing requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in clinical settings
  • Availability for a contract assignment with on-site presence in Columbus

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive urological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients
  • Perform urological procedures and surgeries consistent with scope of practice and credentialing
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results
  • Manage acute and chronic urological conditions, including postoperative care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff and specialists, to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, preventive care, and recovery plans
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to medical practice protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide on-call coverage as required by the assignment schedule
  • Communicate effectively with referring physicians and primary care providers
  • Support continuity of care throughout the duration of the locum assignment
