Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Radiology
  • Associate-level experience in radiology practice
  • Current, unrestricted medical licensure appropriate for the practice setting
  • Strong diagnostic interpretation skills across standard imaging modalities
  • Ability to work effectively in an on-site clinical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clinical consultations and documentation
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice
  • Strong collaboration skills with physicians, nurses, and support staff
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical volumes, schedules, and locum tenens assignment needs
  • Proficiency with medical imaging systems, radiology information systems, and electronic health records
  • Must be board-certified

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies in accordance with established radiology protocols and standards
  • Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to support clinical decision-making
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging findings, differential diagnoses, and recommended follow-up
  • Deliver on-site radiology coverage as scheduled throughout the contract assignment
  • Perform image-guided procedures within the scope of radiology practice when required
  • Document findings comprehensively and accurately in the medical record
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to optimize patient diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards in all radiology activities
  • Participate in radiology quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff as necessary
  • Respond timely to urgent imaging needs and emergent clinical consultations
  • Maintain professional competence through continued learning and adherence to best practices in radiology
