About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide specialized cancer care in a collaborative clinical environment. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with blood disorders and various types of cancer. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient-centered care.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- Valid medical license in good standing
- Associate-level experience in hematology and oncology clinical practice
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating blood disorders and cancer
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and management of treatment side effects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Willingness to work on-site and provide on-call coverage as needed
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with advances in oncology
- Must be board-certified
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology consultations and patient evaluations
- Diagnose and treat patients with blood disorders and various forms of cancer
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging, and biopsies
- Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatment modalities
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation
- Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment options, and side effect management
- Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical case reviews
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in patient care
- Provide on-call coverage as required by the contract arrangement
