Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or active board eligibility in Cardiology
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of South Carolina or ability to obtain licensure
Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiology
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in cardiology practice
Strong proficiency in interpreting cardiac diagnostic studies and performing invasive procedures
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site clinical environment
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing clinical demands
Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Interpret diagnostic tests including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterization results
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Prescribe medications and manage ongoing cardiac care regimens
Provide consultations to other physicians and healthcare providers on cardiology cases
Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR)
Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, risk factors, and preventive care
Respond promptly to urgent and emergency cardiology consultations as required
Coordinate with referring physicians to ensure seamless continuity of care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols and best practices
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and credentialing requirements
Support a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on patient outcomes
