About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care within a dynamic medical practice environment. As a Locum Cardiology MD, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive cardiac care to patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiovascular conditions while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
  • Associate level experience in cardiology or related clinical setting
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular diseases
  • Proficiency in interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Must be board-certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiology consultations and evaluations for patients
  • Diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for cardiac patients
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons, and other specialists
  • Perform cardiac catheterizations and other interventional procedures as required
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health and disease prevention
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide on-call coverage and emergency cardiac care as needed
