Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved Emergency Medicine residency program.
• Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the last 12 months, or completion of a residency within the last 6 months.
• Active Iowa medical license or IMLC.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients.
• Handle routine emergency department duties and codes.
• Collaborate with a support staff of APPs for optimum patient care.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and Dragon for dictation.

• Maintain high-quality standards and protocols in emergency medicine.
