About The Position
This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in the Ob/Gyn field within a supportive medical practice environment. As a Locum CNM, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy journey. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, you'll focus on patient-centered care while ensuring optimal health outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
Requirements
- Active certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Must be board-certified
- BLS & DEA required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an Ob/Gyn setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to patients
- Assist in deliveries and perform routine obstetrical procedures
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with medical team
- Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and wellness
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Stay current with medical best practices and guidelines
- Triage, manage, deliver, and discharge patients, and after-hours secondary phone triage
- Surgical first-assist for all C-sections
