About The Position

The Locksmith installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical lock systems on campus. Duties include re-keying, cutting keys, and pinning cylinders for the current mechanical lock system, as well as installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic lock system components for access control devices. Requirements

• Associate’s degree in electronics, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) or equivalent certification from ALOA or another locksmith certification agency.
• Three years of journey-level locksmith experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain an active North Carolina Locksmith License.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills.
