About The Position

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented Locksmith with strong math skills to perform basic repairs related to hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware. The role includes locksmithing and key production tasks, engraving and packaging materials, reading production codes, and operating key-cutting equipment and tools. In 2026, the company is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Requirements

• Reasonable knowledge of all types of locks, fastening devices, and related hardware.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds independently, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with master key systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs related to hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware.
• Pinning cones and re-pin or re-key cylinders.
• Engrave material and package it for shipping.
• Read production codes.
• Cut and issue new keys using key-cutting machines, including high-security systems such as Schlage, Medeco, and Best.
• Operate key-duplicating equipment and various hand or power tools.
