Summary: The Local Construction Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose of creating lasting value for those we serve by facilitating the needs of the customer’s job site in the Eastern Iowa market. This includes, but is not limited to ordering material, receiving material at jobsite, providing material coordination and agile construction practices to the jobsite. This individual is an important liaison between Van Meter sales, operations, and targeted contractors in the field. This person exemplifies all safe work practices. This individual promotes our culture, our 5 P’s and our purpose to create lasting value for those we serve. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives Complete returns for parts from the jobsite Maintain jobsite inventory Complete parts requests through ordering, receiving and shipping Conduct product inspection, and storage at the jobsite Flexible and adaptable to change priorities on short notice Work closely with Inside Sales and Purchasing Provide customer service and support as main contact between Van Meter and specific jobsite personnel Build relationships with site personnel Set up and relocate fabrication stations/areas Clean, stock and remove excess material from work areas Deliver parts to needed areas of jobsite Receive and distribute deliveries as needed Keep work areas clean and orderly Deliver, unload, and stage materials on jobsite as needed Extended out of state travel to customer job sites
