About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-conscious Local Class A Tanker Driver in Baltimore, Maryland. The route runs from Baltimore to surrounding areas and averages 60 hours per week. Annual earning potential is $110,000, with weekly earning potential of $2,000. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available, and weekly overtime opportunities are offered. Per diem may apply. The driver operates tractor-trailer tanker units and transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The position requires compliance with safe work practices, proper loading and unloading and securing of cargo, and maintaining required vehicle and trip documentation. Requirements

Class A CDL.
At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
At least 3 months of tanker experience.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to climb and work from heights.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
Ability to effectively use required technology, such as mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Prioritize health and safety by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer tanker units.
Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and properly secure loads.
Placard vehicles according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
