About The Position

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers, delivering medical products directly to commercial and residential customers. The Driver operates a Class A vehicle to transport products from a Medline facility to local customers. The role is important to building positive customer relationships through timely, accurate, and safe deliveries. The fleet includes more than 2,100 trucks and operates through a network of more than 50 distribution centers.

The Driver loads and secures products, follows a local delivery route, unloads and delivers products at customer facilities, and provides in-person customer support and delivery documentation. The position also involves coordinating with dispatch, maintaining required travel and cargo logs, and inspecting the vehicle for safe operation.

Requirements

• Class A CDL and a license to operate the assigned vehicle.
• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to meet all federal and state requirements for operating commercial motor vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.
• Ability to frequently move, lift, and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product from the Medline facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route.
• Follow Medline safety regulations, including using required safety equipment and performing safety checks.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities while ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to customers, address their questions and needs, and provide appropriate delivery documentation.
• Communicate with the dispatching team about route or schedule adjustments needed to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
• Inspect the vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel for continued use.
