Local Class A Driver
About The Position
MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers, delivering medical products to commercial and residential customers. The Driver operates a Class A vehicle to transport products to local customers and supports positive customer relationships through timely, accurate, and safe deliveries. Medline's fleet includes more than 2,100 trucks, and its network includes more than 50 distribution centers nationwide. The role involves loading and securing products at a Medline facility, driving delivery routes to multiple customer destinations, unloading and delivering products, and assisting customers in person. Drivers coordinate with dispatch, maintain required travel and cargo logs, and inspect vehicles to help ensure safe operation.
Requirements
- Class A CDL and license to operate the assigned vehicle.
- At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to meet all federal and state requirements for operating commercial motor vehicles.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations.
- Ability to frequently move, lift, and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Load and secure products from a Medline facility into a truck.
- Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations, following company safety rules and completing safety checks.
- Unload and deliver products at customer facilities in a timely manner.
- Provide in-person customer support, answer questions, address needs, and provide appropriate delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch about route or schedule adjustments to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Maintain travel and cargo logs in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
- Inspect the vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel for continued use.
