About The Position

The Class A Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in varied traffic and weather conditions. The role includes inspecting the vehicle before and after trips, verifying products and completing required paperwork, loading and unloading products, maintaining DOT and company safety certifications, learning product and inventory procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid, non-expired interstate Medical Card that the driver can present.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in the context of the job and safety requirements.
• Ability to comply with truck-driving rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must meet or exceed minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods and FMCSR.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verify the correct products are on the truck, complete required paperwork, and collect and submit invoices, checks, and/or cash when required.
• Load and unload products for customers.
• Maintain all required DOT and company safety program certifications.
• Develop expertise in products, inventory controls, and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
