About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Local Class A Dry Van Driver for its safety-conscious team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The driver performs local waste, freight, and product runs in Utah using a day cab. Overnight stays may be required based on business needs. Compensation is $28–$30 per hour, with drivers averaging $80,000–$110,000 annually. Pay includes hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time and mileage pay. Daily or weekly home time is available, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered. The role involves operating tractor-trailer units and other vehicles, transporting and securing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and maintaining required vehicle and trip records. Drivers are expected to prioritize safety and comply with company practices, policies, processes, and applicable Department of Transportation requirements. Requirements

Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to use required technology, such as mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
Adhere to weight requirements and ensure proper utilization of vehicles.
Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads properly.
Placard vehicles according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
