Drive local grocery delivery routes transporting fresh and frozen products to supermarkets and distribution centers throughout the Northeast. Routes cover Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Pennsylvania, including regular deliveries to New York City boroughs and Long Island. Drivers generally make 15–20 stops per week and usually handle one long load per day, with occasional additional work when hours allow. Duties may also include return-product pickups and backhauls and supporting other local accounts as needed. The position offers daily home time, early starts, and consistent schedules. Drivers may be scheduled to work holidays depending on account operations and must be able to work weekends. Equipment includes automatic day-cab trucks generally less than three years old, refrigerated trailers, and electric pallet jacks for unloading. Trucks cannot be taken home, so drivers must arrange transportation to and from the reporting location. Uniforms are provided. Average annual earnings are listed as $95,000. Compensation includes mileage pay of $0.48–$0.56 per mile, a $50 daily rate, $21 drop-and-hook pay per stop, $42 New York City stop pay, $45 liftgate stop pay, $15 per hour of detention, $100 layover pay, and $160 per day for holiday pay. A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus and paid training and safety training are also offered.
