About The Position
The Local Grocery Delivery Driver is based out of Van Buren, Arkansas. The role involves local grocery deliveries, some driver unloading, equipment movement, and support for yard and terminal operations. The position averages 40 hours per week, though hours vary with workload and daily business needs. The driver must be able to operate within a 500-mile radius of Van Buren, AR. Pay is based on experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Good, verifiable motor vehicle record (MVR) and employment history.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years.
- Must be able to operate within a 500-mile radius of Van Buren, AR.
Responsibilities
- Perform local grocery deliveries.
- Unload deliveries when required.
- Conduct yard checks, including checking reefer temperatures, fuel levels, and trailer counts.
- Move inbound trailers to dock doors.
- Complete local pickups and deliveries.
- Drop empty trailers for pre-loading.
- Assist with trailer wash bay and fuel island cleanup.
- Maintain yard cleanliness, including picking up trash.
- Communicate regularly with the Office Manager.
- Transport trailers and trucks to the shop for maintenance as needed.
