About The Position
M&W Transportation, the transportation division of family-owned M&W Logistics Group, is hiring experienced Local CDL Switcher Drivers in Nashville, Tennessee. Drivers operate an automatic yard truck at an on-site facility, moving and positioning trailers. Positions offer 12-hour shifts on Friday through Sunday, with day shifts paying $30 per hour and night shifts paying $32 per hour. Drivers are home daily and handle no-touch freight. Drivers may optionally pick up an additional day working local Nashville routes in M&W’s transportation system. M&W has served customers since 1973 and emphasizes dependable equipment, respect for drivers, and a driver-focused workplace.
Requirements
- Be at least 23 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Have no current CDL suspension or revocation.
- Be dependable, professional, and committed to getting the job done.
Responsibilities
- Operate an automatic yard truck to move and position trailers.
- Hook, unhook, and relocate trailers as directed.
- Coordinate trailer movements with facility personnel and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records and promptly report equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members to support daily operations.
- Perform local Nashville driving assignments when working an optional additional day.
