QSL Transport is hiring a Local CDL Driver to haul quarry equipment, steel plate, and oversize loads in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. The role uses Step Deck, RGN (Removable Gooseneck), and Double Drop trailers. Routes primarily shuttle equipment between two Fort Wayne pickup locations and the QSL Transport staging yard, with point-to-point deliveries up to approximately 150 miles from Fort Wayne, such as the Indianapolis area. There may also be occasional steel plate flatbed runs from Bourbonnais, Illinois, to Fort Wayne. Routes vary, and the driver must be comfortable with unfamiliar roads and permit-specified routing. This is a part-time, on-call role with flexible hours driven by customer project volume. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The first pickup is at 8:00 AM and the last pickup is at 2:00 PM. Work is estimated at 20–30 hours per week, with a frequency of 3–6 days per week depending on operational needs. The base rate is $30.84 per hour, complemented by premium pay. QSL Transport specializes in hauling heavy equipment, over-dimensional loads, and wind turbines across the United States and Canada. It provides integrated logistics solutions to businesses in the rail, energy, and manufacturing industries and emphasizes continuous improvement, performance, and operational excellence. The company has more than 2,000 employees and operates in 64 port terminals across Canada and the United States.
