About The Position

NIS Express is hiring CDL-A drivers in Port Charlotte, Florida, for a dedicated grocery fleet. Drivers haul refrigerated grocery freight to retail stores on local and short regional routes around Southwest Florida, typically running two loads per night and completing live unloads at store locations. The position offers daily home time. New CDL holders receive paid on-the-job training with an experienced driver at $650 per week during training. Drivers earn $0.43 to $0.51 per mile on approximately 2,200 miles per week, with an average weekly gross of $1,300. Additional compensation includes $10 stop pay, $30 for loads under 90 miles, and a monthly performance bonus. The schedule is a set five-day rotation of either Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday, on the night shift. Holiday nights are worked according to the store shipping schedule.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have graduated from a verifiable CDL school with at least 120 hours of training, or be an experienced driver.
Must live within 25 miles of Punta Gorda, Florida.
No more than two moving violations in the past two years.
No major preventable accidents in the past five years.
No DUI/DWI within the past five to ten years.
Must pass hair and urine drug testing.
