About The Position

The Lobby Attendant maintains the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby and other public spaces, helping provide a welcoming and pristine environment for guests. The role performs cleaning and preventive maintenance of flooring and public areas, follows applicable product safety requirements, and supports a team approach to keeping the hotel’s public spaces clean and fresh. This is an hourly position paying $16 per hour.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check is required before employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish, evaluate, and perform a cleaning and preventive maintenance program for hotel flooring surfaces under supervision.
• Keep up to date on cleaning procedures, products, and technology for maintaining and enhancing public spaces.
• Work with other hotel departments to support the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces.
• Greet hotel guests in a friendly and warm manner and serve as a hotel ambassador.
• Stock the cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
• Vacuum, wet mop, scrub, and buff hotel floors using hand tools and powered equipment, and maintain those floors properly.
• Follow the regulations set forth by material safety data sheets for cleaning products.
• Observe and report the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, and building components.
• Empty public-space trash bins, clean lobby and banquet bathrooms, and pick up trash from tables and floors with very little supervision.
• Keep public-space cleaning utility closets clean and well organized.
