As a Loan Specialist, you guide and educate borrowers through the home loan process, initiating their homebuying journey and helping them feel informed and confident. Most leads are people who have already expressed interest, rather than cold-call prospects. This is an entry-level position; mortgage experience is helpful but not required, and the company provides training and development. The role focuses on conventional and FHA loans. You communicate with borrowers by phone, email, and other tools; review their goals and credit through an online system; help identify suitable loan options; explain rates, terms, and the loan process; and manage paperwork and files through closing. You also collaborate with internal and external parties and contribute where needed. Business calls may be recorded and reviewed using AI-assisted technology for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., plus one or two four-hour Saturday shifts per month. The Flex schedule is Monday through Friday between noon and 10 p.m. with hours that may vary, plus two weekends per month. The role offers a competitive base salary and commission, with potential earnings of $45,000–$80,000 per year; top performers may earn more through performance incentives. NMLS licensure is required, and the company can help employees obtain it after starting.
