As a Loan Specialist, you guide and educate borrowers through the home loan process, initiate their homebuying journey, and help establish a successful partnership. Most calls are to leads who have already expressed interest, rather than cold calls. The role is described as entry-level; mortgage experience is helpful but not required, and training and development are provided. A mortgage background is not required, but an NMLS license is needed; the company can help obtain it after hire. You communicate with borrowers by phone, email, and other communication tools. Business calls may be recorded and reviewed using AI-assisted technology for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation. Collaboration with internal and external parties is important, and you may help the team wherever needed. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with one or two Saturday shifts per month of four hours each. A flex schedule is also listed: Monday through Friday between noon and 10 p.m., with hours that may vary, and two weekends per month. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and commission structure, with potential earnings of $45,000–$80,000 per year; top performers may earn more through performance incentives.
