About The Position

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing compliant loan documents accurately and in a timely manner. This role also involves originating suspense/tickler reporting, completing CRA and HMDA file reviews, and preparing monthly loan reports. The specialist will serve as a backup for other positions and perform other duties as assigned. Continuous career enhancement through work experience and education is encouraged. Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations is crucial. The role requires participation in examinations, audits, and third-party reviews, as well as adherence to the Information Security Program and a high level of risk and security awareness. The position also involves contributing to the Bank's image by being active in the community and attending assigned meetings. Developing a working knowledge of the Bank's products and services is essential for providing quality customer service and building relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; one to three years of previous experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.
  • Regular customer service problem solving using established variables.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare compliant loan documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responsible for originating the suspense/tickler reporting.
  • Complete CRA and HMDA file reviews, as requested.
  • Prepare monthly loan reports, as requested.
  • Serve as a backup for other position(s) and perform other duties, as assigned.
