About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions. The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, performing daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery, and ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines for loader operation. The Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by understanding company policy and meeting customer needs, ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts, and operating company equipment safely. Additionally, they will assist with equipment maintenance, accurately record vehicle information, operate documentation devices, set up yards for auctions within timelines, provide customer service, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor. Following yard guidelines for safety, such as speed limits, is crucial. The role requires the ability to load and unload vehicles, pass training and safety requirements, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

HS diploma or GED preferred.
Certification in loader or forklift operation preferred.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine.

Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Providing service to customers as needed.
Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Passing training and safety requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned.
