About The Position

The Loader Operator moves and loads vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift and documents vehicle movement around the facility. The role includes daily pre- and post-trip inspections and related documentation, maintaining assigned equipment, and following company safety guidelines for loader operation. Operators also help meet customer needs by applying Copart policies and providing customer service.

Requirements

• At least two years of work experience; outdoor-environment experience is preferred.
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification is preferred.
• Excellent customer-service attitude and skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required.
• Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
• Occasional overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Loader or forklift certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in an outdoor environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
• Maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
• Conduct and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Maintain equipment according to company standards and customer contracts.
• Operate company equipment safely and assist with maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
• Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
• Use a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
• Set up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
• Provide customer service and solutions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Follow yard guidelines, including speed limits, to maintain a safe work environment.
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Complete required training and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
