About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Wheel Loader Operator for its Augusta Asphalt Plant in Staunton, Virginia. The role primarily operates a wheeled loader around the plant to load aggregate products into bins for asphalt production. Depending on production needs and the direction of the plant manager and foreman, the operator may also use other heavy equipment. The position includes supporting and cleaning up around the asphalt plant, general plant and equipment maintenance, and other general labor tasks as needed. Candidates should have at least one year of experience operating a mid-to-large wheeled front-end loader and an uncompromising commitment to safety excellence. This is a full-time, day-shift position; some weekend work and night work may be needed. Wages start at $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least one year of experience operating a mid-to-large wheeled front-end loader, such as a CAT 980, CAT 988, or Komatsu WA500-8.
• Ability to perform general labor, maintenance, and cleanup duties around the asphalt plant as required.
• Self-motivated and able to perform required duties independently without constant supervision.
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating other types of heavy equipment, such as a track hoe, back hoe, and skid steer.
• Experience operating or working around an asphalt plant.

Responsibilities
