About The Position
Black Hills Trucking is hiring a full-time, on-site Loader Operator in Williston, North Dakota. The role operates center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials. The operator also helps maintain safe, organized pipe racks, checks load security and shipping documentation, supports inventory control, and performs routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance while following safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Zero to two years of experience in oilfield or trucking operations; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form using common sense.
- Ability to meet Department of Transportation physical requirements, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of equipment operated.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA forklift certification, or the ability to pass an operator test for certification.
Responsibilities
- Operate center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials.
- Load and unload pipe and other materials from trucks and railcars, handling and placing materials appropriately.
- Help keep pipe racks safe and organized.
- Verify that loads are properly secured and meet safety standards before transport.
- Count and verify materials against shipping documents and assist with inventory control and reconciliation.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
- Follow safety procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
