About The Position

The Loader Operator moves and loads vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift and maintains documentation of vehicle movement around the facility. The role includes daily pre- and post-trip inspections and related documentation for assigned equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and following company guidelines for safe loader operation. The operator applies knowledge of Copart policy to help meet customer needs.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and high integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Occasional overtime as needed.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

Loader or forklift certification.
Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operate company equipment safely.
Assist with maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operate a digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Set up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
Provide service to customers as needed.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including speed limits.
Load and unload vehicles as required.
Pass required training and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and document them.
Maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
