About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Loader Operator to safely operate heavy equipment at a recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station. The role supports transferring, spreading, covering, loading, and/or compacting waste or soil efficiently and safely. The operator inspects and maintains equipment, monitors waste for unacceptable materials, documents equipment condition and minor service, and follows company safety policies and procedures. The position also includes maintaining a clean and orderly shop and fostering positive working relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management.

Requirements

Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
Good time-management skills to complete assigned responsibilities efficiently and safely.
Good follow-through and the ability to adhere to a work schedule and address challenges as they arise.
Ability to adhere to company policies and rules, promote company safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.
Pride in work and commitment to achieving goals.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections in accordance with company policy, ensuring windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view cameras are clean.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other equipment using proper safety standards.
Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
Monitor equipment condition to ensure it is operationally ready and minimize downtime; clean tracks or wheels as needed.
Perform and document minor equipment service, referring more complicated mechanical issues to the Maintenance Shop.
Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other reports as necessary, and report required repairs to a supervisor.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the shop is clean, serviced, and stored at the completion of each shift.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
