About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Loader Operator to safely operate heavy equipment at a recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station. The role involves transferring, spreading, covering, loading, and/or compacting waste or soil efficiently and safely. Equipment may include a forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader. The operator inspects and maintains equipment, monitors waste for unacceptable materials, performs and documents minor servicing, and reports repair needs. The role also requires following safety policies, maintaining a clean and serviced work area and equipment at the end of each shift, and communicating professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management.

Requirements

Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
Good time-management skills to complete assigned responsibilities efficiently and safely.
Ability to follow through, adhere to a work schedule, and address challenges as they arise.
Ability to follow Company policies and rules, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.
Pride in work and a commitment to achieving goals.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections in accordance with Company policy, ensuring windows, lights, mirrors, and the rear-view camera are clean.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, using proper safety standards.
Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
Monitor equipment condition to ensure it is operationally ready and minimize downtime; clean tracks or wheels as needed.
Perform and document minor equipment service, referring more complex mechanical issues to the Maintenance Shop.
Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required reports, and report necessary repairs to a supervisor.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the shop is clean, serviced, and stored at the completion of each shift.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and conduct with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
