About The Position

The Load Builder/Assembler, sometimes referred to as a Router, receives finished product from other departments and places it into route carts or bins for delivery or storage. The position performs other tasks as required and may work in other production positions as needed. The role is classified as non-exempt and pays $19.29 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., with Saturday work after a holiday. The position is based in production areas of an industrial laundry facility, with variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. Travel is not required. Education is not required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Recognize, inspect, and grade product.
Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
Comprehend and follow directions.
Meet the physical demands for the entire shift, including standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping.
Successfully complete drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Receive finished, clean product from other departments.
Read written packing requirements and place the correct type and number of products into appropriate route carts, bins, or storage.
Work at a rapid rate to keep up with the flow of products to the load-building area.
Transfer carts or bins into delivery vehicles or to designated areas.
Identify and notify supervision of product shortages.
Handle products to maintain quality and proper packaging.
Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Perform other tasks as required.
Work in other production positions as needed.
