About The Position

The LMS Consultant will assess current labor planning and workforce management processes, design labor forecasting models, and develop dynamic labor planning methodologies for various operational areas. This role involves defining labor standards, establishing workforce capacity planning processes, supporting labor budgeting, and creating demand-to-capacity planning frameworks. The consultant will also develop labor planning governance and operating models and partner with operations leaders to validate assumptions and targets.

Requirements

  • Experience with labor management solutions such as Blue Yonder Labor Management or Manhattan Labor Management.
  • Strong understanding of labor standards, engineered labor standards, workforce optimization, and demand forecasting.
  • Experience in logistics, distribution, warehouse, or retail operations.
  • Strong analytical and process design skills.
  • Executive stakeholder management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current labor planning and workforce management processes.
  • Design labor forecasting models based on historical volumes, demand patterns, seasonality, customer service requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Develop dynamic labor planning methodologies for Distribution Centers (DCs), warehousing operations, transportation operations, and shared service organizations.
  • Define labor standards and productivity baselines.
  • Establish workforce capacity planning processes.
  • Support labor budgeting and staffing recommendations.
  • Create demand-to-capacity planning frameworks.
  • Develop labor planning governance and operating models.
  • Partner with operations leaders to validate forecasting assumptions and productivity targets.
