About The Position

BrightStar Care of Seminole County is hiring a live-in caregiver in Lake Mary, Florida, to provide home care, hospice care, companionship, and homemaking support. The role includes personal care, hygiene assistance, help with daily tasks and mobility, and promoting a safe environment for quality patient care. Room and board are included while assigned to this case, and 24/7 on-call support is available. The live-in schedule is described as 13 working hours per day, 8 hours of required on-premises sleep, and 3 hours of daily breaks during which the caregiver may leave the premises. Caregivers must account for all 24 hours on the daily work reporting form. The posting states pay for 91 hours per week: 40 hours at $15 per hour and 51 hours at the overtime rate of $22.50 per hour. The position is in person and offers full-time, part-time, and PRN job types.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
Valid CPR certificate with hands-on training; virtual courses are not accepted.
TB skin test dated within the past year or chest X-ray dated within the past five years.
Background check.
Reliable car and auto insurance.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance and hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting activities.
Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, and light housekeeping.
Assist the client with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care.
Assist patients with walking and outdoor activities.
Promote a safe environment for quality patient care by following established policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide personal care and companionship care, and perform homemaking activities.
Provide medication reminders.
Complete daily work reporting forms accounting for all 24 hours of the live-in day.
