Live In Caregiver
About The Position
Glen Park Senior Living is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to assist residents with daily living activities and help create a supportive, healthy environment. The Direct Care Staff member works with elderly residents, convalescents, and individuals with disabilities in a care facility. The role includes supporting residents’ daily living, maintaining a clean living environment, and contributing to their nutritional, personal care, and social needs. Caregivers may also advise residents and families on nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities. For residents with developmental disabilities, caregivers follow the facility’s Program Design, complete specialized training, support goals in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP), and keep detailed progress notes. The position is in person at Glen Park at Ojai. Scheduling is flexible and may vary with business needs. A hiring bonus is offered: $1,000 for full-time and $500 for part-time.
Requirements
- Live-Scan fingerprint clearance.
- CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Negative TB test and health screening.
- Ability to work in person at Glen Park at Ojai, 225 N Lomita Ave, Ojai, CA 93023.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
- Serve meals and provide snacks as needed.
- Participate in and support the facility’s Activities Program.
- Attend facility-provided monthly and quarterly in-service training, totaling one hour per month and twelve hours per year.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid training.
- For residents with developmental disabilities, align performance with the facility’s Program Design.
- Complete specialized training for working with residents with developmental disabilities.
- Work toward the goals outlined in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP).
- Maintain detailed progress notes tracking accomplishments of IPP objectives.
- Help maintain a clean living environment and support residents’ nutritional, personal care, and social needs.
- Provide residents and families with advice on nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities as appropriate.
