About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Sarasota is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Live-In Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Home Health Aides (HHAs) for a potential upcoming live-in assignment in Venice, Florida. The role involves providing one-on-one care and support to a senior in the client’s private residence. Virtual interviews are available. The assignment schedule, rest periods, and compensation will be discussed before placement.

Requirements

• Current Florida CNA certification or a 40-hour HHA training certificate.
• Previous caregiving experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
• Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Comfort working in a client’s private residence.
• Ability to provide professional references.
• Availability for live-in assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous live-in caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition.
• Communicate regularly with the office and care team.
