About The Position
Divinity Care Home LLC is a small, family-style residential care home in San Antonio, Texas, serving up to three residents. The Live-In Caregiver provides personal, attentive care in a warm home setting. Two schedules are available: Shift A runs Monday at 6:00 AM through Wednesday at 6:00 AM, and Shift B runs Wednesday at 6:00 AM through Friday at 4:00 PM. The position pays $10.50 per hour. Meals and internet access are provided during the shift. Eight hours of sleep time per night are unpaid, and a private sleeping area is provided.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must pass a criminal background check and Texas Employee Misconduct Registry check.
- Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate.
- Must be able to lift and assist residents safely.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous caregiving experience preferred; dementia-care experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to residents’ dietary needs.
- Provide medication reminders and follow care plans.
- Support residents with dementia or memory-care needs with patience and dignity.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry, and keep the home clean and safe.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in activities.
- Document care and report changes in residents’ conditions to management.
- Respond to resident needs overnight as required.
