This position entails managing all administrative tasks of legal cases. These tasks generally include managing updates to client systems, editing and preparing correspondence and legal documents, maintaining electronic files, arranging discovery and depositions, correspondence with the courts, and calendaring. The Litigation Paralegal will work primarily with attorneys in the Jackson, Mississippi office, but additionally with multiple paralegals and attorneys in a multi-disciplinary team environment across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas. The role provides support to the Legal Team, including service updates, client status updates, follow-up on outstanding documents or services, and coordination with title contacts to complete outstanding tasks such as recordings and obtaining missing documents. The position also assists with check down of closed, active, and hold files, including forwarding invoices of foreclosures fees and costs, and assists with opening files and applying fee approvals to files and fee requests. The role involves managing and organizing document production, identifying privileged documents, generating reports, and following up on identified outstanding tasks. Capturing billable time for tasks handled on behalf of the client and time entry is also a key responsibility. Other duties and responsibilities may be performed as needed.
