About The Position
The Litigation Paralegal works closely with a lead attorney and litigation assistant, supporting litigation matters and helping advance Morgan & Morgan’s work protecting consumer rights. The role involves preparing and filing legal documents, supporting discovery and trial preparation, communicating with clients and legal professionals, and assisting attorneys with case-related work. The position offers competitive pay and a generous bonus plan.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, premises, first-party, medical malpractice, or another injury-related practice area.
- At least two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
- E-file court documents in state and federal court.
- Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
- Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
- Draft and serve summons.
- Coordinate and summarize depositions.
- Prepare trial binders and exhibits with the legal assistant.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for filing with the court.
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
- Liaise between trial teams and internal and external third parties.
- Help prepare witnesses.
- Assist with case settlements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
