About The Position

O’Hagan Meyer is hiring a remote Litigation Paralegal to support a busy and growing litigation practice. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and court filings. The role requires significant experience supporting matters in Federal Court. Florida or Texas residency is preferred, though qualified remote candidates elsewhere will be considered. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote law firm environment, and committed to providing exceptional client service. A paralegal certificate is preferred. Federal litigation experience is required.

Requirements

Federal litigation experience is required.
Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and electronic court filings.
Demonstrated experience preparing and filing documents in Federal Court and familiarity with federal court rules and procedures.
Experience with legal case management systems, document management platforms, e-discovery tools, and legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to analyze legal documents and identify inconsistencies or issues requiring attorney review.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while providing outstanding client service.

Nice To Haves

Paralegal Certificate preferred.
NEOS experience preferred.
Candidates located in Florida or Texas are preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with case strategy, motion practice, pleadings, and litigation-related filings.
Use case files, legal databases, and research resources to gather and develop information relevant to pending matters.
Draft discovery requests and responses, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, and related documents.
Maintain and organize electronic case files and litigation materials.
Track litigation deadlines, court dates, discovery schedules, and filing requirements.
Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial logistics.
Review, summarize, and organize deposition transcripts and testimony.
Prepare and organize exhibits for motions, depositions, discovery responses, hearings, arbitrations, and trial.
Prepare trial, hearing, arbitration, and mediation binders and notebooks.
Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, evidentiary objections, continuance applications, and other litigation documents.
Prepare and electronically file documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with applicable court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
Prepare timelines, case chronologies, demonstrative exhibits, and witness materials.
Draft routine legal correspondence.
Review outgoing document productions, including redacting, Bates labeling, and quality control review.
Prepare litigation hold notices, preservation letters, subpoenas, and document requests.
Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research platforms.
Conduct factual investigations, public records research, and social media research to support litigation matters.
Review, summarize, and analyze records and case-related documents in support of litigation matters.
Communicate with clients, experts, vendors, court personnel, and opposing counsel as directed.
Assist attorneys with trial, arbitration, and hearing preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and preparation of trial notebooks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
