About The Position

The Litigation Paralegal provides high-level support to litigation attorneys handling complex civil matters, assisting with cases from initial intake through trial and final resolution. The role is part of an on-site, collaborative legal team and involves court filings, case and document management, discovery and trial preparation, legal research and drafting, billing and timekeeping, and professional communication with clients and other legal professionals.

Requirements

Significant experience providing high-level paralegal support to attorneys handling complex civil litigation matters.
Hands-on expertise with CM/ECF systems for Federal and State court filings.
Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle a dynamic workload accurately and efficiently.
Strong familiarity with legal timekeeping and billing, including ABA task codes, legal research tools, and litigation support software.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, from case initiation and strategy development through discovery, trial preparation, and final resolution.
Prepare, review, format, and file legal documents in Federal and State courts using CM/ECF and electronic filing portals.
Manage complex case files, organize documents, and use litigation document management platforms.
Coordinate with attorneys on case strategy, discovery requests and responses, exhibit preparation, and trial binders.
Conduct legal research and assist with drafting pleadings, correspondence, status reports, and court filings.
Oversee time entry and billing processes and ensure accurate tracking with ABA task codes.
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, co-counsel, and internal team members.
