About The Position

Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate to join our Cleveland office. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial. Requirements

  • 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
  • Admission to the Ohio Bar
  • JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
  • Excellent credentials
  • Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills
  • Legal research
  • Drafting legal documents
  • Conducting discovery
  • Excellent research and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation
  • Courtroom and deposition experience
  • More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing the various aspects of a commercial lawsuit from start to finish.
  • More junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record
